Elena, Elena teaches the Spanish prepositional pronouns (para mí, de ti, etc.) musically to your students using this very catchy chant, “Elena, Elena.” Look at the preview pages to to read the words to this song. "Elena, Elena" is good to use any time. I use it in Spanish 1 when I teach the prepositions and the pronouns that come after them. I also use this again as a review and for fun in Spanish 2,3 classes for Valentine's Day.This chant/rap comes from the popular Cantos, Ritmos y Rimas .“Elena, Elena" is recited to a rhumba beat.
This lively and educational packet includes:
- the words to the chant,
- a cloze (fill –in the blank) listening sheet and an extension activity.

This Spanish jazz - like chant or rap-like chant is appropriate for all ages but especially good with 5th grade to Spanish 1 and 2 in high school (or Spanish 101 in college).
