What educators are saying

My students enjoyed this activity so much. I loved to see them learn and have so much fun at the same time it also helped them better their teamwork

Description

This is one of my favorite activities! It is so exciting and has major wow factor. The activity can be done as a teacher demonstration or working in lab groups. In this K-2 version, students practice the steps of the scientific method by changing one of the variables in the experiment, making a hypothesis (prediction), observations, and conclusions.

Students can follow along with the picture based procedure or text based.

In this activity, a solution of yeast is mixed with a solution of hydrogen peroxide, food coloring and dish soap. The substances react vigorously to release a gas which bubbles out quickly pushing foam out of the bottle resembling giant toothpaste.

This product is part of a K-8 grade level bundle including the scientific method, chemical and physical changes, and chemical reactions. Great if you teach multiple grade levels!
