Product Description
"Constructing an elevator pitch" is a 39 slide PowerPoint lesson in editable PPT format with work sheets and teacher’s notes.
Although created with English Business classes in mind, this lesson is also a great practice for adult ESL students of intermediate and advanced levels who want to be able to introduce themselves in English professionally and socially in improvised situations.

This lesson is aimed at Business English students of intermediate and advanced levels who work with an international market, for multinational companies, do business with Anglo-Saxon companies or require English for traveling abroad for work.
This lesson is a part of a cross culture business English course covering: International Business etiquette, Cross Culture business guide, Basic marketing for an international market.

Every lesson includes:
- The subject in a PowerPoint format
- Practice sheets
- Teacher’s notes
An elevator pitch is a tool used by business people everyday to introduce themselves, a company, an idea, or a project to potential employers, clients, investors, entrepreneurs.
Improvised social and professional situations are a formidable challenge for ESL students, mainly because it requires an “on the spot” reaction in English. The elevator pitch concept is the best way to properly prepare them for such cases.
Having a good elevator pitch is the equivalent of a “good first impression” on a first date. It opens the door and sets a positive tone for the rest of the encounter.
This lesson includes:
- What is an ‘Elevator Pitch'?
- What is it for?
- Key components that every elevator pitch should contain.
- What an elevator pitch IS NOT.
- Your “Elevator pitch” check list.
- The adjective test.
- The editing.
- Making the message relevant to the listener
- How to deliver the pitch
- Possible pitfalls
- Dissecting an award-winning elevator pitch

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING THIS PRODUCT, PLEASE READ THIS:

The products in this shop are all produces by a dyslexic teacher (hence the name).
I’m painfully aware of the contradiction in my choice of profession, but I can honestly say (after 25 years of teaching ESL classes) that there’s nothing I’d rather be doing.
Much like other challenged individuals who go through life with one hand tied behind their backs, I make up for what I lack with abundant research, high quality graphics, humor, passion and love.
I own every ‘correcting program’ available on the market and my lessons are proof read by wonderful, kind (and slightly horrified) TPT teachers, BUT there are always some errors that slip by us.
If you feel offended by the existence of errors in what is supposed to be a teaching tool…
THEN THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU!
If you are an open minded individual, that can except the possibility that you might find errors in the product that you are about to buy (you get a free product if you send me the errors to correct), then this product is for you and I hope it delivers everything you hoped for and more, along with my gratitude.
