elf-themed rhyming sentences and short poems. Once they have created and read through the booklets for both Alfie the Elf and Ali the Elf, they can use the blank templates provided to write their own holiday jingles and create their own illustrations!

The SILLY RHYMING SENTENCES and ELF RHYME TIME BOOKLETS can be used in your small or large group reading lessons to help students identify words with the same ending sounds and/or spelling patterns. They can also be used for re-reading practice to develop proper attention to punctuation, improved accuracy, and better expression. Your can extend either your phonemic awareness or fluency lesson to include writing by asking students to compose their own elf rhymes using the blank template provided!
