Use elves to show inheritance patterns. This activity uses complete dominance, codominance, incomplete dominance, and sex-linked traits. Students go to stations and determine the type of inheritance pattern, the offspring probabilities, and then pick one chromosome from each parent to make their own elf baby.
A great review of all the inheritance patterns and a great way to show how and why siblings are sometimes more similar than other times.
Could be used as a way to reinforce the inheritance patterns or as a fun way to assess the students.
