Print out the elves and glue them down onto card stock paper and then laminate the elves. Hide each of these twelve numbered elves around your classroom or outside (my personal favourite). Then have the students go and search for the elves. Students use the recording sheet to tell where they find each elf. Another way to play is to hide them around the classroom and then students need to look for them in their spare time (or choice time). There are three different recording sheets. One with no writing where the students just circle the elves they find. The other two sheets require the students to record where they find the elves. Older students will enjoy keeping the hiding places a secret for a few days or even the whole week.
My classes always love to play this games. I hope your class enjoys it just as much.
