This activity was dreamt up when I asked myself one question: “What would our class elves post on Instagram if they could?” Well first of all, it would be called “Elfstagram”, not Instagram!
About this activity:
This ”Elfstagram” writing and drawing activity can be used in many different ways! It would make an adorable bulletin board display and would be a perfect addition to your holiday Writing Centers. I have included six different templates for your classroom use. Whether your holiday visitor is one of the two boy elves, one of the two girl elves, the reindeer, or the Saint Bernard, there is an Elfstagram just for them!
How to Use:
Print the “Elfstagram” for the elf that is in your class! More than one elf? Print out multiples of each copy and let your kiddos pick which Instagram picture they want to “post” on behalf of their Christmas friend!
There are many ways your students can complete this activity. They could “post an Elfstagram” about:
-Something their elf did in your class that day
-What they think their elf could have done back at the North Pole with Santa
-Something they want their elf to do in the future
...The possibilities are endless! Don’t forget to incorporate those festive hashtags!
