This Bundle is a HUGE SAVINGS! Eliminate It is an effective, quick activity to engage your mathematicians in meaningful conversations about mathematics! The slides are easy to see and ready to go- which means ZERO PREP! Simply display on your projector or other device for the mathematicians to see.

*Consider playing whole group or small group to target conversations.

*Suggestion: have mathematicians build a set that would either NOT be eliminated or eliminated and explain why/why not.

    Each Eliminate It Activity Includes:

21 Eliminate It Slides (BUNDLE TOTAL: 126!)

    Example Eliminations with Reasoning/Justification

Fun Fact! In each Bundle Activity there are 12 Slides that have 3 of the same representation/shape with 1 that is different. This are beginning slides to allow mathematicians to see which can be eliminated and practice using reasoning to defend/understand why it is eliminated. The next 12 slides offer multiple ways for the representations/shapes to be eliminated, this allows for multiple eliminations with multiple justifications.

Log in to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Compose simple shapes to form larger shapes. For example, “Can you join these two triangles with full sides touching to make a rectangle?”
Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size.
Describe objects in the environment using names of shapes, and describe the relative positions of these objects using terms such as above, below, beside, in front of, behind, and next to.
Fluently add and subtract within 5.
For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record the answer with a drawing or equation.
