Eliminating Double Negatives Differentiated Task Cards
The first set (BLUE) of TWENTY cards underline the negative words for students. This will make it easier for students to rewrite the sentence, eliminating one of the underlined words.
The second set (GREEN) of TWENTY cards are the SAME as the first set. However, the negative words are not underlined. This will cause students to identify the negative words before removing one.
*Please note that the first and second set of task cards use the same sentences.
The third set (YELLOW) of TWELVE cards tells students to read each sentence, determine whether it is correct or incorrect, and rewrite it correctly if it is incorrect. This is the most challenging set, allowing students to develop strong editing skills.
