Here is an Internet project based around a very professional and long running Elizabethan Internet site created by a school district. I have been using this for years both as a partner's project and as an individual project (you can just alter the directions to whichever you prefer). The nature of the questions are aimed at higher order thinking and creativity (see preview), and the students have fun with this. The project covers the following areas of the Elizabethan Age: Henry VIII, Elizabeth's young life, crime and punishment, the Globe Theater, Shakespeare's life and work, fashion, leisure life, music, medicine, and diseases. Students have to write a brief news story, draw, create a family tree, and other challenging activities. It is an interesting introduction to any Shakespeare play, and the web site is an awesome one. This is a Microsoft Word file.
