This product is an excellent resource for developing and building phonemic awareness skills. Within the product, you will find a How-To guide for mapping sounds with Elkonin Boxes. You will also find Elkonin Boxes for words that contain 3 phonemes (sounds), 4 phonemes, and 5 phonemes. I have included suggested word lists and picture cards that correspond to each set of Elkonin Boxes as well! Since this resource focuses on phonemic awareness, the picture cards include pictures only- no words. However, an answer guide is included to prevent any confusion over the words associated with each picture. These materials are intended to be used in a small-group or one-on-one setting with students. Simply print the materials for a ready-to-use, daily activity for phonemic awareness!
