This is an emergent reader book, by Sara Ipatenco, that encourages children to recognize simple sight words such as “I,” “see,” “in” and “without.” The 10-page book uses simple text to describe things we see in fall, such as leaves and pumpkins. It also uses repeated text and encourages children to use the pictures to figure out unknown words. It's also a great way to practice phonics skills. Simply cut the pages apart and staple them together. I’ve included a black and white version that students can color themselves and a color version that you can print, laminate and use as a classroom book! Enjoy and Happy Fall!!
