PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is an emergent reader book by Sara Ipatenco. It encourages children to recognize the simple sight words such as “in,” “the,” “people” and “on.” The book also encourages children to recognize other simple words. The 10-page book tells readers the basic facts about Palm Sunday, such as that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and that people waved palm branches. It uses repeated text and encourages children to use the pictures to figure out unknown words. The simple text encourages phonics skills, too. Simply cut the pages apart and staple them together. I’ve included a black and white version that students can color themselves and a color version that you can print, laminate and use as a classroom book! Enjoy!!
