Armando Armadillo is the third book in the "Mother, Mother" Coloring Storybook series.
These books combine easy to read stories with engaging black and white illustrations for the students to color. In each story, a cute animal character discovers something new about themselves or their environment.
This book is in .pdf form and can be downloaded and printed as often as you like. There are 2 pages to an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Cut them in half to create a 10 page booklet (8 pages of text and illustrations plus front and back covers). The pages are numbered to make assembly easy for the children. Once colored, the students can glue the covers to heavier paper (card stock or construction). The books can then be "bound" by stapling down the sides or punching holes and lacing with yarn.
My First Grade students truly treasured these little books that they had a hand in creating, often keeping them in their cubbies till they fell apart. I hope you find them useful in helping to foster a life-long love of reading!
