For the black and white version, I would recommend printing the emergent reader front and back to save on paper. Then cut the paper in half and staple the book. Pass out to students and ENJOY!! Students can draw a picture of themselves next to the shape and add many more details to their emergent reader before reading it.
There are “SEVEN Emergent Readers”
1. See the Shapes 2. I Like the Shapes 3. Look at the Shapes 4. Shapes 5. I Have Shapes 6. I Can Find Shapes 7. My Shapes
For the color version, I would recommend printing the emergent reader front and back to save on paper. Make sure you laminate the emergent reader. Then cut the paper in half and use a book binding machine to bind the book. You may keep these books in your library for students to read throughout the year. ENJOY!!
