These Emergent Readers are great for guided reading and /or shared reading. They motivate beginning readers to want to learn to read and in turn love reading! As students read these Emergent Readers their confidence as readers flourishes. Their fluency builds through word family awareness and sight word recognition. Students learn how to further decode and chunk words as they read these fun Emergent Readers. At the end of each book, students have the opportunity to respond to the story by drawing a picture and writing about it. Prompts may vary depending on the story.

Books range from 6-10 pages long. Each page contains 2 pages when they are cut in half. Assembling the books is simple, especially if you have a paper cutter! Each page requires one cut across the middle. Then take your 6-10 pages and staple them together!
