February 14 marks the one-year anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. Honor and remember the victims of gun violence by leading your students in a viewing and analysis of Emma González’s powerful March for Our Lives speech.
This product includes a transcript of González’s speech, as well as questions to guide students in a rhetorical analysis.
In order to complete this lesson, students will need to have a baseline understanding of rhetoric and rhetorical appeals.
I am making this product available as a free download as part of my own efforts to honor both victims and survivors of gun violence.
