This fantastic project integrates technology with Common Core-based analysis of both Primary and Secondary Sources related to the Emmett Till murder case.

Students are provided a worksheet with 6 QR codes that link to websites, documents, and interviews related to the case. They then must observe, reflect, and question the sources. Links are provided as well so this can be completed by those students or classes without QR readers. If you lack access to computers, the websites could even be printed out and analyzed in class.

After reviewing all 6 sites, students complete a short answer on how this case sparked the Civil Rights Movement. An answer key/sample response sheet is included for your convenience.

This is a fantastic way to bring technology and mobile devices into your lessons while attacking essential the CCSS!
