This is a fun and simple game where students guess American historical events based on emoji sentences. My students had a great time creating their own emoji versions of events and then wrote a paragraph about why they picked that specific event and it's significance in American history. This activity works well as a warm-up, as part of an activity rotation, a first day icebreaker, or just a game to engage kids with technology. It can easily be adapted to include research or writing components. The file includes an answer key, PDF versions of the activity, and the original Pages files if you'd like to edit or customize the activity for your class.
