Why not capitalize on students' love of emojis with this emoji place value activity!? In this activity, each student receives a different phone screen full of emoji text messages. I've included 28 phone screen cards for EACH version. Each emoji is worth a different value, and students must use their place value understanding to determine the value of their text message. Then, students will work together to solve nine questions involving the text messages. The fourth version includes decimals!
Version 1-though the thousands place
Version 2-through the ten thousands place
Version 3-through the hundred thousands place
Version 4-thousands place through the hundredth place
