Uno is a game that I often play with my ESL students as a warm up at the start of lessons and when they are losing concentration. I developed these cards so that students can learn different adjectives to communicate their feelings and practice pronunciation through repetition while having fun.
I often play go fish and memory match, to mix it up and make the students say the words on the cards and the colour as they place them down.
For older or more advanced students I also make students put the adjective into a sentence before they can place it down. If the sentence is incorrect they can’t place the card down.
The adjectives included are: Angry, Happy, Sad, Scared, Upset, Funny, Surprised, Worried, Mad and Tired. There are also pictures with the corresponding words.
There are 50 pages for front and back of the cards, with a total of 100 cards. They are in 4 colours blue, red, yellow and green, with the extra cards of changing colours. For best results print on card stock and laminate for a long life in your classroom.
I hope you find these cards useful. Please let me know if there are any problems and I will fix them.
