Use this chart as part of a whole-class behaviour management approach or for individualised support. Can be used within both special education and mainstream settings; just print and use. I've used it both with special needs students and gifted and talented learners. A great resource year round!
You'll find two alternative charts, one for anger and one for anxiety management. These charts are designed to be laminated and stuck on the wall or on individual desks. Warning signs are included on the charts to help students recognise their bodies' interpretations of these emotions.
There are also emotion cards you can print out and use as flash cards to support the chart- I would recommend putting them on a split ring on a key chain or lanyard, giving a set to each student where appropriate. I have also stuck the cards on top of the chart so students can pull them off and show to the teacher as a non-verbal communication strategy.
