Product Description
I hope you enjoy using this emotions memory game with these CUTE dog faces! This game can be used as individual practice, with partners, small or whole group, centers and/or work stations. Lots of variety for children in Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten!

Game Prep:
*Print the emotion cards on cardstock. There are 9 cards for each emotion and there are 11 emotions. Therefore, you can print all 99 cards or just a few, depending on how many cards you want in the game. For younger students, limit the amount of cards by only using 3-4 pairs to start off the game and increase the number of pairs as their skills improve.

Optional: I have made labels for the emotion cards. The labels will need to be printed on the back of the emotion cards.

*Laminate for durability and cut out all the cards.

Game Play:
Begin with the emotion cards face-down. The first player will flip over 2 cards. If the emotion faces match, the player will keep the cards and has another turn to try to make another match. If the first player flips over 2 cards that don’t match, the player will flip those 2 cards back over into the same spot that they flipped them over from. Now it is the next players turn. The same process will continue with each player until all the matches are found. The player with the most matches will be the winner. And in Pre-K we don’t always focus on a winner….We try to use it as a math lesson and talk about who has more/less, how many more/less, etc.

Optional Game Play:
Students can use the cards as a matching game too! Instead of laying the cards face-down, students will lay all the cards face-up and look through all the emotion cards and make matches.

*Emotions included in this memory game are: proud, happy, content, excited, shy, worried, shocked, unhappy, scared, confused and angry.
