Classifying Emotions Posters
Print the posters on cardstock and laminate for durability. Another option is to slide them into page protectors and store them in a binder, if you need something more portable. These also work great on electronic devices!
Emotion Sorting Worksheets
Print on plain copy paper and have your students complete them after you have used the posters to teach the different categories. You can also send these home for homework/extra practice. I have provided a variety of
layouts for you to choose which one works best for your students.
“How Do They Feel?” Booklet
Print out the scenarios (pgs. 43-53) on either cardstock or plain copy paper. You can choose whether to print the booklet cover and emotion cards in color or black and white (Color: pgs. 25-33/B&W: pgs. 34-42). Students can cut and paste the pictures provided or draw their own! You can also laminate the booklet for long term use and attach the pictures with Velcro.
Speech/Thought Bubbles: Create Your Own Story
Print out the pages you prefer to use with your students (You have a choice of blank bubbles: pgs. 54-55/bubbles with lines: pgs. 56-57) on either cardstock or plain copy paper. I designed these pages to be used with the emotion cards provided, but students can draw their own emotion pictures if they want. The purpose of the activity is to place the emotion picture in the square and write a story about what made the person feel that way in the bubbles. You can choose whether to print the emotion cards in color or black and white (Color: pgs. 26-33/B&W: pgs. 35-42). You can also laminate the speech/thought bubble pages and emotion cards for long term use, attach the pictures with Velcro, and use a dry erase marker for writing in the bubbles.
This packet pairs perfectly with my best seller, Emotions: Descriptions and Body Language Clues
