Emotions Story Telling Cards for Special Education/Language Development - NEW ACTIVITY!
Using ten people, ranging in age from young child to young adults, this activity contains a total of 90 emotions images! This activity is much more than just identifying basic emotions, rather it encourages students to share and collaborate, as they piece together the emotions and create their own stories! A writing sheet is included as you can also print in gray scale, or photocopy the sheets of images to use for their writing prompts. The writing sheet contains visuals to aid in writing (who/how is he feeling/what happened). The pictures include older teens, as well, to show students that there are different ways to show emotions at different ages. For example, a young man may not cry when he is upset, but the facial emotions clearly show he is upset.
SUGGESTED IEP GOAL ALIGNMENT:
Given a real-life picture depicting an emotion, STUDENT will identify the emotion, or state how the person feels, with 80% accuracy, by MONTH, YEAR.
