Facial Feature and Emotion Clipart & Sort – hand-drawn pictures of eyes, noses, and mouths for students to sort and match according to emotions. A cute, simple, and versatile sort for students to practice identifying and comparing emotions and facial expressions!
Overview of zip file: there are 9 pages in the PDF document for the sort (show in preview), and there are 36 .png clipart files of the different facial features (eyes, noses, and mouths) for those just wanting to use the clip art.
There are 12 eyes, 10 noses, & 12 mouths for students to mix and match, identifying different emotional facial expressions. There are also 2 blank faces onto which students can sort facial features if desired. So, there are 36 images in total.
(Specific emotions covered: happy / sad / hurt / surprised / silly / angry / grumpy / confused / neutral)
I have included a few ways to use the clipart:
1 / There is a folder with all of the clipart in case teachers would like to use the clipart separate from the sort, or if teachers would like to make the images larger or smaller for their personal use.
2 / There is a color copy of the facial features (eyes, noses, & mouths) in the PDF document. This is meant for teachers to cut and/or laminate for a class or small group set. If teachers wanted to make multiple copies of the blank faces for students to place the facial features on, that is an option as well.
3 / There is also a black and white copy of the facial features (eyes, noses, & mouths) in PDF document. This is meant for teachers who would rather not use color ink. Perhaps students could have their own copy of all of the features, and they could practice cutting, coloring, and pasting onto the blank faces with this version. (Obviously, this option would be more time-consuming.)
I hope the clipart and/or sort work well for you and your students!
