PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson is a stand alone lesson on empathy using writing as a tool to express ideas. However, it could be used as a science extension idea if studying weather or natural disasters. In it students place themselves in another's shoes as they imagine and write about experiencing a natural disaster. Students are guided through the writing project with ideas from the book and brainstorming with the teacher before beginning.
