Handout makes connections to the Parsley Massacre which can lead to another lesson. Parsley Massacre was a genocide that occurred in the Dominican Republic.
There are numerous documentaries on You Tube related to this massacre which teachers can share with students as well as You Tube videos for the Mirabal Sisters and Trujillo.
Great way to make connections to Social Studies while reviewing grammar in the target language.
Students may also enjoy viewing the movie "In the time of the butterflies". It's in English but you may add Spanish subtitles and have the movie viewing sheet in Spanish.
