Build reading skills for all levels of readers with a fun activity designed to encourage students to make friends with books and fall in love with reading! Each of the projects in the Fall in Love with Reading series is unique and simple, and all of the finished activities may be used for engaging bulletin boards! The projects are appropriate for a range of grade levels and reading proficiency levels (including reluctant readers), and they are designed to engage students in activities that facilitate successful completion and positive experiences with books, reading, and learning. This project from the series engages students in reading books written before they were born. "Book share" records are completed after reading, and the books are shared with others.
I use one of the Fall in Love with Reading projects each month, and students love them. We keep track of the number of projects completed in the school year and celebrate our reading achievements at the end of the year!
This series of projects includes the following titles:
Where do you love to read?
****What came before you? (the project included in this product)
Who is that character?
