Brighten testing season with fun and encouraging test-taking student survival kits! Testing can be stressful and I wanted a way to show my students how proud I was of them. These individual survival kits are filled with encouraging words and treats! The kit is entirely editable so you can make it your own or print what I've already filled in for you.
In this editable resource you'll find:
♥Teacher Directions: How to set up the encouraging survival kit goodie bags
♥Parent E-mail: Explaining the activity and providing an opportunity for them to help (also editable)
♥2 Survival Kit Templates - both editable
♥3 Note from Home/Note from School Templates
Treats I Include:
To fill the bag with treats I send out a signup genius for parents to donate a few items such as Smarties, bubbles, Hershey's Hugs, stickers, eraser caps, etc. At this time I extend an invitation for them to come and help fill the bags as well. The template is editable so you can modify the treats to accommodate your families' budgets or allergies.
Putting Together the Kits
To put the kits together I purchase (or a parent can donate) small cellophane bags that come with twistie ties. They typically cost a few dollars for a class set. In addition to the little treats I add a printed teacher note and an encouraging note from home to each students' kit! The morning before testing I had the kits waiting on their desks. They absolutely loved it!
