Based on the game Spot it, this 31-card game is a fun way to have your students practice their Spanish vocabulary for breakfast foods! Just print out the cards double-sided, cut and laminate them (or print them on heavier stock paper and skip the laminating), and you are ready to play! The game also includes two vocabulary reference sheets you can print and add to the game (vocabulary and blank). With Spanish having so many dialectical variations, I've included the blank version in case there are words you would rather have your students learn. If you'd rather, my ESL versions are all images, which can be customized to any vocabulary list!
This game is a HUGE hit in my classroom and it a great way for student to improve vocabulary recognition, speed, and accuracy! It also works great as a fast-finisher activity to review old vocabulary from previous units and years.
The game file includes:
-The game also include two vocabulary reference sheets you can print and add to the game
-An editable PDF vocabulary reference sheet so that you can customize vocabulary for the game. For a fully customizable game, check out my image-only version of this set!
-Two alternate card backs (low color and black and white) to save on color ink if you prefer
This game can be played in groups of 2 to 4 students. There are two ways you can play this game (which are written on one of the extra game cards):
Version 1: Each player starts with 1 card. The remaining cards are in a draw pile in the center. A player flips over the top card from the draw pile. The first player to correctly find the match between his/her card and the flipped card and to yell it out in Spanish, takes the card and places it on top of his/her pile. For the next round, they will use their new card.
Version 2: Players start with no cards and one large pile in the center. Two cards are flipped over from the pile. The first person to pick out the match and say it in Spanish gets both cards. Two new cards are flipped over. Once all the cards are gone, the winner is the player with the most cards.
Included vocabulary in this version:
la barrita de cereales
la mantequilla de cacahuate / de maní
el gofre / el waffle
el jugo de naranja
el jugo de manzana
el jarabe de maple
