Students will use their graphing calculator to identify patterns among the end behavior of polynomial functions. Students will then use the patterns they found to make conjectures about end behavior. They will finally test their conjectures using the parent function of polynomials they know (i.e. linear and quadratic).
I have completed this investigation with my students using a TI-83 and TI-84, but other graphing calculators would work as well.
