Every year I encourage my students to be self-reflective about every thing they have learned academically, emotionally and socially. I also encourage them to reflect on how much every student has grown over 9 months.
To capture all of those warm-fuzzies, we create these Last Days of School Memory Books. Students love this activity and cherish the memories as they are writing them. This activity is a great community builder!
This activity pack is a great way to wrap up the year and keep students engaged during those last precious days, hours and minutes that seem to fly by. This isn’t just busy work because memory books last a lifetime. I still have my memory books from elementary school and that was almost 40 years ago!
This packet is 24 pages covering nearly every aspect of the school year. It will take more than one day, so you could consider it to be a last-week-of-school activity rather than just something for the last day of school. It includes a word search (with answer key).
The pages are black-and-white so they are ready to copy...your students add the color with their drawings!
Be sure to download the free sample to see every single page. A few highlights:
- All about me
- Funny things
- Friends I made
- Things I studied
- Favorite stories
- Kids most likely to be...
- Classroom memories
- My future
- Word search (answer key included)
...and much more!
Your students will enjoy this activity. They will treasure it - along with their friends and families!
