This is a fun and engaging, movie-themed resource, which can be used across the curriculum, for end of year 2017! It is an interesting way for students to recap their school year. Most students in Grades 5-12 enjoy movies, which makes this a fun way to end the year. In this resource students use the movie titles to make connections with their school year. This resource includes 20 editable movie tickets, 60 editable 2017 movie titles, 18 slides or pages, 5 editable movie activities with instructions, 3 editable printables, 2 verbal activity options, 1 kinesthetic activity option, and 3 work page assignments. Students also make connections with movie genres. It is CCRS aligned. Students must cite evidence.
You are welcome to edit the movie tickets for your students. I update the movie titles each year and resubmit the resource.
According to a current Pew research study, 95% of teens are online. Of those 95%, 84% of teens online post their views about movies and music. Hopefully, with teens' willingness to post their views about movies, students will make interesting connections with the 5 movie-themed activities in this resource. It does not matter whether students have seen the movies named in this resource, as they will use the movie titles to make connections with their school year. See the preview for clarification. If students choose a movie they've seen, then they can make connections to the content of that movie.
