I know how it can be at the end of the year
...you are trying to close down your classroom, collect data for report cards and you want to keep everything as close to normal as possible.
Well...This End of Year resource Surf into Summer Writing flaps are exactly what you need to keep your class focused and get them to share what is really on their minds...SUMMER FUN!
This is an adapted version for Pre-K through 1st grade. It has larger handwriting manuscript lines that work better for Kindergarten.
These sheets can also be used for dictation or copying if the teacher writes what the child wants to say and then they copy on the lines.
It can be created as a bi-fold using a 12X18 inch piece of construction paper folded in half or a colored or manila file folder. It can also be constructed as a tri-fold where you glue 3 pieces of 12 X 18 inch construction paper together and then fold into 3 columns.
Here is what you will receive in this fun resource:
⚓ A “Surf into Summer” title for the front of the bi-fold or trifold that can be colored.
⚓ A girl surfer and a boy surfer for the front that is also Black and White and can be colored.
⚓ A sun that can be colored or run off on yellow paper for the front.
⚓ Some waves that can be colored or run off on different colored blue papers for the surfing wave or waves.
⚓ A “What I Like Best about Summer” Cloud flap and writing lines to go under the flap.
⚓ A “My Summer Dream Vacation” cruise ship flap and writing lines to go under it.
⚓ “My Summer Bucket List” Sand bucket flap and writing lines to go under.
⚓ Kids swimming (one boy and one girl) flap with “At the Pool I like to...” flap and writing lines to go under.
⚓ A beach umbrella on the sand with “At the Beach I like to...” flap and writing lines to go under.
⚓ All of the above flaps can be colored or as my sample shows, run off on various colored printing paper.
⚓ 2 writing frames one which states: ”The best summer vacation I ever had was...” and the other: “Picture me in the Summer” where the students write and draw a picture of the activity they would like to do!
If you use all the flaps and frames it will fit great on a Tri-fold as described above.
