At the end of the year, I choose to do awards for each student in my classroom. The students "elect" anonymously the students for each award. These awards give a leadership focus to accompany our school leadership program.
Included in this .zip file are the certificates, a nomination sheet, and an election results tally sheet. I give students a class list along with the nomination sheet and explain that they should give thought to each award and write everyone's name (including their own) on at least one category. I then tally the results using the provided chart. This takes some time but time I feel is worth it. However, be ready to fudge a little on the results. Sometimes a student may get a vote on several categories but win none of them. Therefore, once a student is selected for a reward their other votes in other categories are dismissed to allow for other students to be selected.
The kids love these awards and allows those students who may not make Honor Roll but have great artistic abilities to still feel that they are an accomplished leader.
