End of Year Digital Portfolio or Beginning of the Year All About Me
This activity is great as a digital portfolio at the end of the year or an introductory activity at the beginning of the year. I made it for my students, as we use chromebooks almost exclusively, and I wanted students to curate their reading and writing experiences. I had them do a screencastify narration and reflection of their featured books and writing.
This power point was initially prepared in Google Slides, and it is ready for you to drag into your Google Drive. I included variations of the lesson, so you will want to make a copy and edit it to suit your needs. You can select from the “Portfolio” or “About Me” version. Upload it to your Google Classroom and “make a copy” for each student. I encourage you to make one of your own as well!
All slides are created on an 8.5x11 format and are easily printed for a beautiful and personalized bulletin board that features your students. These are also great to run as a slide show during Open House or Back-To-School Night.*

Link 3+ pieces of writing to a “button”
5+ books from the year
3+ most useful/favorite apps

Create a “theme” with your choice of colors and fonts.
Assemble these requirements in a format of your choosing.
*If it takes a long time to load as a whole class slideshow, consider having students take a picture of their slide and upload the IMAGE of their slide. This will eliminate the interactive links or images.
