This end of the year letter to parents is a way to express your appreciation and sentiment to your students and their families.
I have had the privilege of teaching wonderful kids with fantastic families. We always had an end of year awards and recognition celebration. We had parents bring in snacks and drinks, and the children all wrote wonderful stories to share. Awards were given for academic and character recognition. Diplomas were given out as well.
But my most favorite thing to do on that special day was to read a short letter to the parents.
This is the letter I would read each year. I do not know where the letter originated, but it will bring tears of joy to your eyes as you read aloud the sweet words to the parents and children.
**letters for female and male students
Here is a snippet from the letter:
"We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give him back I must. Take care of him, for he is precious."
