I created this assessment as an end of the year test to see what my students had retained and mastered. However, this is also a good beginning of the year review for second grade.
It aligns with Common Core and includes the following:
*representing numbers in a variety of ways
*ten more, ten less, one more, one less
*adding with three numbers
*least to greatest
*telling and representing time
*skip counting by 2's ,5's, and 10's
*identifying solid shapes -2d and 3d
*greater than, less than, or equal to
*equal parts (halves and fourths)
*expanded form- disc values
*adding making 1a 0
There are several ways to use this test:
You can break up the test over several days by questions (e.g., complete questions 1 – 10 on day 1) and so on.
You can pick and choose the questions you want students to complete.
