End of Year Memorial Day Activities Memorial Day Crafts Patriotic Writing

These patriotic craft activities will add some red, white, and blue to your Memorial Day! Students can make the Memorial Day poppy craft or the spiral craft. Graphic organizers and writing paper are included so that you can have your students research and write a paragraph about Memorial Day.

This resource includes the parts to make the patriotic spiral craft:

• 1 page with a spiral for cutting (to be copied onto white paper)
• 1 page with a plain circle to print on blue and red paper (can also be used as a tracer)
• 1 direction page

This resource includes the parts to make the Memorial Day poppy:

• The large, medium, and small petals for layering
• 1 direction page

This resource includes writing resources:

• 1 page for note-taking for elementary-age students
• 2 different graphic organizers for writing a paragraph
• 3 different patriotic writing papers
