Your time with your students is dwindling down... and they're getting awfully _____________ (adjective)! Refocus their energy by using these fun end-of-year themed mad lib activities. They'll have fun AND practice their basic parts of speech!
This product contains two “mad lib” style activities with an end of the school year theme, allowing your students to brush up on their parts of speech – while making some outrageous sentences and having a ton of fun! Both stories are appropriate for all ages and recommended for grades 3-5. One story is entitled "What I learned" and the other is called "My Vacation." They do not mention "summer" break.
2 Formats Offered:
☮ Recording sheet included on the mad lib
☮ Recording sheet separate from the mad lib – 3 on a page to save paper
In addition, you will also receive:
☮ Noun, verb, and adjective anchor chart or cards in color and black and white
☮ Example sheet from my Back-To-School Mad Libs pack (in case you want to model for the class)
Depending on your students, these activities would be great to do as a whole-class activity, partner practice, or individual work.
There are so many extension activities you could do with these! After making your silly stories, try having your students fill in good, grade-level appropriate vocabulary words that actually make sense!
