Product Description
This End of the Year Bundle includes two games, a memory book, and a writing activity. Two games- Scattergories and Taboo, can be used over and over again in lots of ways. A Memory Book for Grades 3 and Up focuses on memories and activities throughout the year and student goals for the future. There is also a Letter For Next Year’s Students Writing Activity that requires your current students to write a letter to your future students. You can read about each individual resource below:

This End of the Year Scattergories Game is a fun and thought-provoking activity that will get students (or staff) talking in no time. Players generate words or ideas that are related to the end-of-the-year topics on the game card. Sound easy? Think again. Each word has to begin with the single letter that is determined before the game starts. This limits answers and makes students really use their vocabulary and creativity. You can play over and over because you can use a different letter each time you play.

You don’t need any special materials or the original game to play. Directions for play are included. (If you do have the original game, you can use the letter cube that it comes with, but it’s not necessary). Follow the original game rules. I encourage students to work in groups so that they can learn from each other. All you have to do is choose a letter as the beginning letter for each descriptive word. This also works well as a literacy center once students know how to play.

Included are:
-Directions for teachers
-Directions for students
-A game card/board that can be copied for each group or student.

This End of the Year Taboo Game is great for vocabulary development and can be used in many grades. It encourages students to practice their oral language and vocabulary skills. They race against the clock to explain the End of the Year-related word at the top of the card, but they are not allowed to use any of the TABOO words underneath it. This makes it a bit trickier but encourages thought and creativity when describing the word. It can be a fun center activity and a lot of fun for the whole class.
This is a great game for students to think about word choice and to use synonyms to describe a topic. It encourages students to describe a word in different ways.

There are many flexible options for this game:
*Use it as a literacy center
*Play with the whole class
*Have students act out words rather than using language
*Play reverse Taboo by giving the Taboo words and have students guess the word at the top

Set up it easy! Just make copies, laminate them (if you want), cut up the game cards, and break students into groups. Then students use the cards to play Taboo just as the regular directions indicate. Directions are included in this download. Whatever you choose, have fun.

This download includes:
- Directions
- 5 pages of pre-made cards
- Score sheet
