This year I learned about Edgar Allan Poe. I learned that he was tormented by the death of his young wife, and he became obsessed with writing about the death of a young woman. I also learned that he was wildly jealous of Washington Irving due to his wealth and success. Also, before this year, I never knew the Baltimore Ravens were named after Poe’s famous poem “The Raven”.
