Looking for unique awards to give your students? Why not award your students based on the character traits they possess?
Looking for my animal awards? --> End of the Year Awards- Animal Character Trait Awards
UPDATED FOR 2017--> I added 3 more color options and 1 more black line option. I also added an award assignment chart so you can record your students to make sure there aren't duplicates, and there is a optional research page you can copy onto the back of the awards so your students can learn more about the people on their awards.
This product contains 50
awards based on different character traits. Each award has a different historical figure to represent each character trait. The preview shows a few of these awards, in 6 color versions and 2 black lined options
. What better way to show the positive qualities of your students than to reward them based on a specific character trait they possess?! You could also have students vote on each other on which character trait award they should win. There are 30 male historical figure awards and 20 female figure awards. The idea is to not award a male award to only the boys in your classroom, or to award a female award to only the girls in your classroom. You can award a male award to a girl, and a female award to a boy. The point is to award them to students based on the character traits they possess and exhibit.
You can print out one of the color options, or you can print the black line instead. If you use the black line version, you can print them out onto color copy paper. Or after you give them to your students, they can color their own award. I have provided 8 options for the awards, so you can choose which one you like best!
This file is a zip file because it includes the original resource AND the updated resource.
For the updated resource
, there are 2
files. One is a PDF if you want to handwrite the names and dates. All you have to do is print! The other file is a PowerPoint with editable text boxes. You can choose your own font and size.
This original resource is a Powerpoint because I have included editable text boxes
on each award if you want to type the student's name, your name, and the date. I have listed the specific fonts used in the product so you can use the same fonts if you choose to use the text boxes. All fonts are Kimberly Geswein, but I have listed the specific names. You will need to download the specific fonts if you want to use them, and her fonts are free for personal use. Or you may want to use your own fonts instead. If you want to handwrite the names and date, you can just delete the text boxes.
The character traits included are (please see thumbnail image or preview for the list of figures included):
