This is a fun classroom management activity used to encourage good choices at the end of the school year when students start to get excited, antsy and anxious as summer approaches. The classroom teacher purchases a small, inexpensive plastic sand pail for each child, writes their name on the pail and attaches the included tag. At the end of each school day, students that have demonstrated good behavior according to your classroom behavior management system will get a small prize placed into their sand pail. On the last day of school, students get to take home their pails as an end of the year gift from you, full of fun things to entertain them during the summer months! Prizes can be purchased by the teacher or parents can be asked to donate items in order to keep cost low.
Included in this packet are both color, printable beach pail tags in two different sizes as well as a parent letter explaining the incentive.
