Included in this little bundle are two letter-writing activities for the end of the year!
LETTER TO MY FAVORITE TEACHER:
This is an activity I created not just for students, but for you. The teacher. One of the most selfless, hardworking people on the planet. Teaching is not an easy job. One must have patience, compassion, dedication, and a heart of gold to go into a profession so underpaid and underappreciated. This letter-writing activity includes prompts and templates to help your students craft the perfect letter of appreciation for one of your fellow colleagues. Your students will enjoy writing it and your hard-working teacher friends will enjoy receiving them.
A LETTER OF SELF-REFLECTION:
A lot can change for your students over the course of an academic year. This lesson asks students to reflect on how they have changed by writing a letter addressed to his or herself at the beginning of the year. This letter will help them realize how much they have grown and what they can work on to better themselves in the following year(s) to come. There are suggestions/prompts for each paragraph asking them to detail their accomplishments, what they wish they had done differently, and what they expect of themselves in the future. A template and a template example is included.
