Description

End of the Year Creative Activity:
Create An Award Classroom Craftivity
Grades 1-2

This is a great character-building activity and a way to promote altruistic behavior! Have your students get creative and come up with their own classroom awards for their classmates (or for teachers, other classes, their parents, the principal, or anyone!).

Literature connection: Have students create an award for a character in a book they've just finished reading or a historical figure you've just studied.

This packet contains teacher's directions, student handouts, craft project (craftivity) directions, and differentiated trophy and ribbon templates for students who might struggle with cutting and pasting the shapes.

This can be used at the end of the year, for special holidays like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, Field Day, or anytime.
