Description
This end of the year letter to parents is a great way to express your emotions and sentiment to your students and their families. Show your love and appreciation to your students and parents on their last day of school with this keepsake letter. I have had the privilege of teaching wonderful kids with fantastic families. We always have an end of year awards and recognition celebration. We have parents bring in snacks and drinks, and the children all write wonderful stories to share. Awards are given for academic and character recognition. Diplomas are given out as well.
However, my favorite thing to do on that special day is to read a short letter to the parents. This is the letter I read each year. I do not know where the letter originated, but it will bring tears of joy to your eyes as you read aloud the sweet words to the parents and children. At the end of the celebration, each family has a copy to take home.
Here is a snippet from the letter:
"We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give him back I must. Take care of him, for he is precious."
