It's a newspaper themed end of the year memory book. With this fun end of school memory book, students will recap their memories. "Extra Extra... Read All About It!. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades have had success using this little booklet.
It's a newspaper themed memory book. What does that mean? It just means that the pages are set up so students can write the headline, illustrate an image, and write the 'article' related to the topic.
Each page has a 'newspaper' themed image Some go along with the topic of the page, while some are just doodles that anyone might do if they were just sitting there doodling.
The memory book pack makes a twelve page book (including the cover and end page), but keep in mind that you can pick and choose the pages. You don't have to use all of them.
You get a cover page for third, fourth, and fifth grades, so you can choose the one for the grade you teach. There are several choices for covers for each grade.
The headlines include the following topics. Students complete the headline blanks.
*Lunch time ________
*__________ Field Trip
*Favorite Book of the Year _______
*____________ Was so Fun!
*Additional blank pages to create their own headline.
When completing the booklet, students will cut along the dotted line to create two pages from each sheet of paper.
I would suggest using this over the last couple of days or weeks of school. Give them a page a day to complete, possibly for morning work. You would then take the finished memory pages and combine them to make a memory book.
