As a end of year mini art project, students can use this cube template to reflect back on what they enjoyed most about this year and then have them draw pictures (and write short sentences) to represent them.
On one side of the cube ("_____'s Cube"), the student can write and design their names or draw a picture of themselves. On another side ("I learned... this year"), students can reflect on something important they learned during the year -- this may be academic or a certain skill. For example, I had a grade 1 student write/draw that she learned to make a friendship bracelet for her friend. Aside from those two sides of the cube, the students are free to draw what they want.
I have only tried the activity with Grades 1 - 3, and they seem to really enjoy it. With older grades, the template can be further enlarged, to give them more space to work with.
When colouring, have students colour in everything, leaving no white spots for the best result.
